During the treatment in some circumstances a topical aneathetic cream or nerve block is applied to ensure maximum comfort levels, many of the products these days have a local anaesthetic component also. The gel is injected into the skin using either a cannula or needle – this will be determined by your physician and based upon area and desired result.
The area will often be numb and slightly swollen, this will vary according to each individual and may last up to 3 – 4 days. Bruising can also occur and will often subside with 7 days also. It can take up to 2 weeks to see the full effect of the injectable, in which at this point we will often book a review appointment.
- Skin lift of some degree
- Increased fullness to the area
- Improve appearance of scars
- Increased hydration to the skins surface.
- ** patient results vary accordingly, and although we endeavour to create the best possible result some clients will achieve a slightly better result than others.
