HYDRAFACIAL

What is it?

A HydraFacial is a more modern version of a microdermabrasion. It combines both a mechanical and chemical exfoliation of the skin. Similar to a microdermabrasion it uses a vertex head and central vacuum to remove excess skin build up. It consists of 4 different steps to give the skin a deep cleanse and bright glow. The 4 steps include a deep cleanse, a mild chemical peel, extractions and finishing by saturating the skin’s surface with antioxidants and peptides to maximise your glow.

Key Elements/Benefits:
  • No down time
  • Deep cleanse of the skin
  • Removal of imperfections and blackheads
  • LED post treatment
Who can have Hydrafacials?

Most skin types are suitable for hydrafacials, except those who suffer from rosacea or have active acne. Hydrafacials are best for those people who suffer from congestion or have skin texture concerns.

Is there downtime?

There is no downtime associated with this treatment – just glowing youthful skin.

How many treatments are required?

If you have lots of congestion or breakouts we recommend having 1 treatment every 2 – 4 weeks for the first 4. After your concerns begin to resolve a treatment every 4 – 6 weeks is adequate. Many patients have a series of 6 treatments about 4 weeks apart for optimal results.

How long will the results last?

The initial effect of the HydraFacial will usually last 1 – 2 weeks. We find most patient results last longer the more treatments they have. For extra longevity we recommend combining this treatment with Laser Genesis or Limelight.

Prior to treatment:

We recommend ceasing any retinol (vitamin A) use to reduce the amount of inflammation throughout the treatment. If you wear makeup to the appointment this will be cleansed off prior.

During the treatment:

A new tip is used for each step. The vacuum suction removes the impurities whilst product is being infused at the same time. The treatment is completely pain free – patients find this treatment very relaxing. The treatment takes roughly 45mins (a great lunchtime treatment).

After the treatment:

Your skin will be slightly flushed – this only lasts a couple of hours. The skin will appear more radiant, refined and more importantly it will be glowing. LED is performed post treatment to enhance the glow and reduce the bacteria in the skin.

Potential risks and side effects:

HydraFacial is an extremely safe treatment for the face and therefore carries minimal risks.
The most common side effect is slight flushing.

What’s the cost of HydraFacial:
  • Full face: $175

LED post treatment is complimentary.

Some patients will combine this treatment with laser genesis. This is perfect for sluggish, congested and dull skin. The combination of the two treatments will ensure your skin has a thorough cleanse whilst stimulating new collagen production. The perfect combination before a special event.

Cost: $249
