How many treatments are required?

This is a treatment that can be performed as often as you like. Many of our patients will have this treatment every 4 – 6 weeks as part of their maintenance. If you have a particular concern with your skin your practioner will be able to give you an indication of how many treatments are required to address it. We have some people who are totally addicted to this treatment and have it every 2 weeks.

How long will results last?

We recommend a series of 6 treatments about 2 – 4 weeks apart depending on the concern. Or alternate this treatment with other treatments. Please refer to GENESIS for further information.

Prior to treatment:

We recommend ceasing the use of vitamin A on the skin 5 days prior to treatment. There mustn’t be the presence of any cold sores or treatment will need to be postponed. If you have had recently been very exposed in the sun and are sunburnt, we also recommend postponing for a few weeks – this will help to reduce hyperpigmentation.

During the treatment:

Your skin will receive a deep cleanse followed by an enzyme peel to increase the cell turnever and remove all dead skin cells – having the peel will allow the genesis treatment to reach the deeper layers quickly and more effectively. Please refer to genesis page for more information on how the treatment works.

After treatment:

Our patient are always placed under the LED light post laser – this enhances collagen stimulation and gives your skin an extra plumping effect. Serums and SPF are applied post LED. We recommend avoiding the use of makeup post

Potential risks and side effects:

With any form of laser there comes some risks and side effects. The most common side effect is some redness to the area, this subsides within a few hours.
